This craft, the process of creating a cutting tool from stone, bronze, iron, and now steel is a legacy of craftsmanship nearly as old as man himself.  Understanding some of what a craftsman goes through in the course of building a knife from scratch is a large part of what draws collectors from all walks of life to the craft of the handmade blade.

This site is not just a place for top makers to sell knives.  Frankly, most of them have no problem selling a knife, as many have waiting lists of several years.  This is a place for them to share a little of their individual processes in order to give the world a peek into what they go through every day to create the pieces you see here in finished form.
